WelcomeThe Theatre Workshop in Science, Technology, and Society (TWISTS) uses an innovative workshop model that brings together experts on the social and technical dimensions of science and technology with theatre arts practitioners to develop original performance pieces. By combining theatre, music, movement, and discussion, TWISTS seeks to facilitate dialogue about contemporary scientific and technical controversies amongst student, public, and professional communities. TWISTS is co-directed by Saul Halfon (Virginia Tech) and Jane Lehr (Cal Poly). Project staff includes faculty and students from the departments of Science and Technology in Society, Theatre Arts, Teaching and Learning, English, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Sociology.
