The Theatre Workshop in Science, Technology and Society (TWISTS) develops performances that engage public participants and audiences with significant or controversial developments in science or technology to facilitate community discussions and debate.
We are excited to announce that the newest TWISTS original performance will occur on October 7, 8, and 9th in Squires Studio Theatre at 7:30pm with pre-show conversation and cookies beginning at 7:00pm. This energetic, collaborative multimedia production sings, dances, circumnavigates the globe and travels through time to investigate how we experience Darwin’s writings and thoughts. The Department of Theatre and Cinema and the Theatre Workshop in Science, Technology and Society (TWISTS) jointly produced Living Darwin.
On October 6th, we will also be hosting a special performance for classes and other interested groups to attend in the Squires Studio Theatre at 7:30pm.
TWISTS was recently featured on the Virginia Tech Homepage, Spotlight on Innovation Series, “Collaboration adds twist on Charles Darwin.”
